Statement

I try to show the world that surrounds me, by means of the world that is in me. The things that move me, to keep a sense of wonder. I am influenced by the things I have known, dreamed of and experienced.

When I see something that moves me, it is instantaneous. A click that goes off inside me. I record it in my mind and if possible with a camera, for use at another time. I have been doing this since my teen-age years, up to the present time. I store it. It is something I can draw on at any given time by calling it up. Much of my painting is a combination of these elements.

As I grow older, I find I retain what I had in the beginning. A sense of wonder. The images may have changed, the technique gotten better, but the way of looking remains the same.
