A Fantasy

There are times, moments, when one thing is ending, while another is about to begin. This is one of them.

The lady on the horse is from the Heian Period, when aristocratic women were writers, poets and warriors ('Tales of Genji' and 'Pillow Talk' were written by two women from this time).

The entire period was distinguished by good taste and sensitivity, refinement and awareness of beauty.

The man playing the instrument signals the closing of a way of life. When it is finished, the lady and the horse will turn and ride into history.

Nothing remains but falling cherry-blossoms and sad songs. Where once, there were poet-warriors and people with educated taste.
